Every piece of plastic ever made still exists today, and much of this plastic has traveled from our hands to our oceans. The most important thing you can do is use less plastic. Join the Blue movement and sign the plastic pledge at SaveMyOceans.com

Ya this is a problem all right & this is only the Pacific Ocean I imagine the rest of it's not much cleaner. Someone has to come up with a biodegradable replacement for plastic & styrofoam. Sadly the truth is we're all just to LAZY to recycle & properly dispose of our trash but the biggest problem is the totally insane amount of garbage North Americans produce. You ladies have your work cut out for you & if there's something I can do to help Kim let me know other than posting links to your videos on my Facebook & youtube accounts which I just did.

hi dain! there is hemp bioplastics we could of been using unfortunately they made hemp production illegal. and DuPont chemical plastics (that do not biodegrade) is what we got instead. Google the "Hemp Conspiracy" and the plastics industry. There is websites out there on hemp plastics...and apparently Ford made a car out of hemp plastic that was indestructable. IMAGINE the lives that would save. The only thing the companies don't like is that hemp plastics can't be dyed very well. so no flashy colors to catch eyes on the stores shelves. Other than that we should be DEMANDING and investing in hemp bioplastics. especially for mobiles devices & computers.
